"There is no security on earth, only

A grass with long, thick, trailing stems on the surface or buried
beneath the sand. This is one of the most important native sand-stabilising
plants in eastern Australia. It is one of the first plants to colonise
bare sand dunes. Spinifex grass is able to grow on the unstable
sand using little more than the thin mineral coating surrounding
each grain of sand.
