"Knowledge is available not only in
the
beautiful and the perfect, but also in
the twisted, the perverse and
the misdirected."
Tarthang Tulku, Dynamics of Time and Space
The branches of Angophora trees become even more orange than
normal after they shed their bark around the first week of November
each year. After a branch has broken off perhaps after a storm,
they keep growing from the stump often in another direction. This
accounts for the twisted and bent array of limbs this species has.
This is the only photo I have ever taken which I believe really
captured their amazing form.
